Young fan victimised by School for Supporting the Rams

Rams Kit banned by school
A six year old Rams fan has been victimised for living in Southampton. Gwen Ryan was looking forward to going to the play-off semi final first leg at St Mary's this weekend with her school, Ludlow Infants but the day wasn't quite as she had expected .

Over zealous school bosses ruled that the six-year old could not wear her favourite Derby County shirt to the game. The reason the school gave was that " It is important to remember that this day was about getting behind Southampton Football Club as they prepared for the Championship play-off's".

School wanted all to Support the Saint's but why couldn't Gwen Support the Rams?
Gwen's mother Christine Ryan has been in Sholing, Southampton for the last eight years after leaving Derby and has taken her love of the Rams with her and passed it on to her daughter. Mrs Ryan was said to have been "Disappointed" with the schools reaction to her request for her daughter to wear the black and white of Derby County.

The Rams will be looking to have a stadium full of black and white on Tuesday night for the second leg of the Play-off semi finals. I am sure there will be a Southampton youngster travelling to Pride Park as mascot and will be proudly showing his colours on the Pride Park pitch prior to kick-off. It seems such a shame that people who you would think were the most tolerant people in our society, school teachers, could have found it in their heart to let a little Rams supporter show their choice of football club.

At least little Gwen was able to watch her beloved Rams come from a goal behind to take a 2-1 advantage to Pride Park on Tuesday.
