C:WindowsTempphp23AD.tmpIt was with a heavy heart this morning I learned of the passing of a real Rams legend, not one who scored lots of goals, or one that made an International career. In fact he didn't even play football for the Rams but Gordon Guthrie was Mr Derby County.

Gordon served the club for more than half a century, his service to the club spans over 60 years and could always be relied on to do his jobs with a smile on his face and with the upmost dedication.

Gordon was 86 when he passed away and much of hat time was spent at the Baseball Ground and other football grounds around the Country and Europe, as physio, coach and first team kit manager.

Recognition for his service has been rewarded with an MBE for services to football and many other acolaides from his colleagues and rivals through out the game. Tributes have been coming in from players, former players and supporters.

The World of football will be a sadder place without the smile of Gordon Guthrie    RIP A TRUE RAMS LEGEND.
