Steve Howard scores a braec in the Rams 2-1 win over Southampton
The first leg of the play-off semi finals has been won by the Rams. After a slow start and an early set back, with the Saint's scoring in the first ten minutes, Derby fought back well and a well taken headed goal by Steve Howard brought the teams level at th break.

The second half was end to end stuff but a moment of madness by Saints' Pele saw him pull back stephen Pearson in the penalty area. The resulting penalty was taken by Steve Howard and although the Saints' keeper went the right way and appeared to get a hand to the ball, the sheer pace beat him and the ball settled in the corner of the net.

We eagerly await the second leg on Tuesday at Pride Park to see who will be going to Wembley.
