Peter Gadsby cliams of £20m debt and no real investment by the club
Peter Gadsby has made sensational claims concerning the new American owners of the club following his dismissal from the Derby County board last week.

An article in the Times online, Gadsby is reported to be very upset with the way he was removed from the Rams boardroom. He goes on to claim that he had offered to buy back the club from the GSE consortium that took in the middle of last season.

Also a debt of some £20m has been claimed by Gadsby. He states that felt frozen out by the new owners and they failed to answer any of his questions regarding proof of investment. He is reported to have said "I feel compelled to ask questions whether any new money has been invested since the takeover by GSE".

In six months Peter claims that he hasn't seen a piece of financial information and despite being involved with the club for over 20 years his advice or opinion was never sought

With the rumoured £20m debt, peter has said that the 22,500 season ticket holders have financed much of the summers signings, which goes a long way to answering the question most supporters have been asking, in why we haven't been paying high prices for quality players. Most of the signings have been free transfers or loans.

Gadbsy has issued an apology to the fans saying, "It was a serious mistake taking on trust the American consortiums pledge to invest".

In response to the allegations a Derby County spokesperson said last night that "New investment is coming in and will result in fresh representation on the board".

The revelations come at a critical time for the Rams as they approach the new football league Championship season. It will have many fans wondering just who is telling the truth and if yet again we have people in the board room who really care for Derby County and their fans, or if this is just another false dawn. It will be interesting to see if the new investment and new board members really do show signs of major investment in the club or is Mr Gadsby right?..
