start the season with a Royal visit. No, it's not for the Queens Golden Jubilee but the first match of the season is to be a home tie against Reading FC (the royals).

As the new fixture list was made public yesterday (13th June) It finally hit most Rams fans that there will not be visited by the glamour teams of the Premiership (at least for a season). The Rams now have to play newly promoted Reading first then two away games at Gillingham and trip to Cleethorpes to play Grimsby.

Derby have their first Midlands Derby on the 24th August when they play Wolverhampton Wanderers at Pride Park.

Rams fans don't have to wait long for the eagerly awaited match against

Notts Forest

Nottingham Forest the home game against the trees will happen at Pride Park on the 19th October.

Other choice matches include an away tie against Leicester on September 14th and home game against Stoke City on the 31st August.

In all the Rams have games against 5 midlands teams this season. With the two Sheffield sides not more than a stones throw away it should make travel arrangement easier on the pocket for the Rams travelling fans this season. Not to mention the pride at stake for finishing top Midlands side.
