Chris Porter may get a game in next weeks reserve outing
The Rams are expecting back several players to reserve team action next week but will not rush injured players back too soon. This was the exciting news from Pride Park.
A long term injury to striker Chris Porter has now been corrected say the Rams medical staff. The twenty five year old has been out of action for eight months following a hip injury sustained in the 2-1 win over Bristol City on the 27th March last season.
A subsequent operation in August saw the start of the long road back to fitness, which according to Rams medical staff he has now achieved. It only remains for him to regain match fitness. He has already returned to training and is doing well but he may be given a chance in Tuesday's reserve team game against Sheffield Wednesday to start playing again.
The injury crisis has seemingly eased further and the same reserve game could see Kris Commons return to action following a hamstring problem. Steve Davies also looks to have a chance of making a return to action after an ankle injury has kept him out of the Rams squad since August. A return to action had to be cut short after only 22 minutes of action resulted in a hamstring problem...
