Frank Fielding wanted by the Rams on loan
The fractured wrist injury to Rams number one keeper Stephen Bywater has prompted Nigel Clough to look to the emergency loan market to fill the gap.

Derby are said to be holding talks with Blackburn Rovers to try and get an emergency loan of Frank Fielding. The 22 year-old has struggled to get into the Blackburn Rovers first team squad and has spent the last three years going out on loan at Wycombe, Northampton, Leeds and two stints at Rochdale.

Fielding is an England U19 player, taking to the field on two occasions and has played at U21 level on five occasions for his Country.

The move is seen as a good one for Fielding, who needs first team experience to improve his match fitness, continue his development and to keep his transfer value. He played 92 games during his various loan spells.

It is not known if Clough sees the loan as a direct replacement for Bywater or as cover for Saul Deeney. Deeney has had limited league experience since moving from Burton Albion and may well find himself as understudy to Fielding if the loan is agreed...
