Kirkland and Gadsby offer turned down
Derby County's Chairman Lionel Pickering has rejected a cash boost of £10million from two former directors.

Peter Gadsby and John Kirkland where said to be very disappointed after the snub. The offer was not even discussed by the Derby County Board and at a time when Derby County Football Club needs all the new cash injections it can find the judgement of the board has to be taken into question.

Chairman Lionel Pickering is now carrying on the work of restructring the clubs finances, which he expects to finalise before the end of the month.

Derby County also appointed a new Director yesterday, Bryan Richardson. Richardson was a former Chairman at Coventry City but left when the board gave him a vote of no confidence. Lets hope his future at Derby County will be more productive as he strives to help Lionel Pickering sort out the financial problems at Derby County.
