Rams Player to Captain England

Derby born and current Rams Academy player Nathan Doyle is expected to lead out England Under 16’s tonight (Tue 12th November) at the start of a week long tournament involving the elite of Europe’s young talent.

Doyle who was recently named by John Gregory in a first team squad that he took to Millwall will represent England along side fellow Rams Academy player Lee Holmes. Holmes was also in the squad that travelled to the New Den.

The weeklong tournament will pit the youngsters against International teams of their own age from Spain, Holland and Germany. Tonight’s opening game will see England take on Spain in Darlington.

With two Rams players expected to start the match tonight the future for the Rams looks rosey
Further games will be played on Thursday (15th Nov) against Holland in Gateshead and the final game will see the English lads tackle their German counterparts. This game taking place at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light on Sunday night (18th Nov). All games being an 8-00pm kick-off
