Derby County have announced a new hospitality and food catering contractor to exclusively take over all aspects of the hospitality and food services within Pride Park.

Delaware North are the chosen company to run all of the Rams food operations for the next ten years. Delaware North also provide catering and hospitality to Wembley stadium and at the Emirates stadium, home of Arsenal, to name but a few and are one of the largest companies in this field in the World. The contract with the Rams will start from the 1st July 2008.

It is hoped that Delaware North can make the match day experience for all Rams supporters a better one. They aim to improve speed of service during the matches at Pride Park. Plans are already underway to refurbish the food and drink outlets within the stadium.

Delaware North are a huge company, in fact they are the biggest privately held company in the USA, with revenue exceeding $2b . Global headquarters for the company are in New York.

Fans will be eager to learn if this new look food and drink operation within Pride Park will cost them any more. Will the streamlining of match day drinks and food cost the supporter any more, or are the American's set to make profits from volume sold rather than prices raised?...
