The Rams went down 2 –1 to Norwegian part timers Konsvinger earlier this evening.
The Scandinavian outifit are mid way through their domestic season and clearly had an impetus that Derby, with only two weeks of pre-season training behind them could not match.
George Burley made a number of second half substitutions after his team went in at the break two goals down.
It was Tommy Smith on for Paul Peschisolido who gave the visitors a lifeline turning a Marco Reich corner home from close range on 75 minutes.
