David Jones signed on loan with a view to a permenant £1m deal in January
After a hurried few days in which David Jones has met with Derby County officials and looked around the impressive Academy at Moor Farm, the Manchester United youngster has finally signed on the dotted line after Thursdays precautionary medical.

The 22-year-old is in contention for a first team place tomorrow following the emergency loan but after recent wins Billy Davies may prefer to keep the midfielder under wraps and bring him on later in the game.

Derby County will complete the permanent signing of Jones when the January transfer window opens. The fee is said to be around £1million and will be the second time the new Directorship of the club have found a six figure sum to bring quality to the club.
