Rams fined for ill-discipline

Derby County’s debt problem worsened yesterday as the club was told it had to pay part of the suspended £100,000 imposed on it last season for discipline problems. The FA have insisted that the club pays £15,000 of the suspended fine.

A total of 72 yellow cards where shown to Rams players last season together with 3 reds. This follows poor records over the previous two seasons.

The situation will be reviewed next summer and the remaining £85,000 fine still remains suspended over the clubs head and may be activated if discipline among the players does not improve.
