Rams duo omitted from England U21 squad

Chris Riggott just coming back from injury misses another chance to play for England U21's
No place in the England Under 21 squad for Rams defender Chris Riggott or Striker Malcolm Christie.

The England U21 squad play Yugoslavia u21 at the Reebok Stadium this Friday (6th September).

If one of the Rams pair had have been chosen for the game this weekend’s game against Burnley could have been postponed. According to FA rules if a team has 3 international call-ups or more at under21 or full international level in that week, they are entitled to ask the FA to postpone the game.

The omission from the U21 side must come as a disappointment for last weekend’s two-goal hero Malcolm Christie. His performance not getting him another

Chris Riggott's omission was easier to swallow as the Rams defender had been troubled with injury before his comeback game against Stoke City at the weekend.
