Hossam Ghaly, one of very few playwrs to have been praised this season
It is not very often this season that a Derby County manager has praised any of his players but Paul Jewell has raved about the performance of Hossam Ghally during the 0-1 defeat at Middlesbrough.

Ghaley 26, is on loan from Tottenham Hotspur until the end of this season and with performances like the one on Saturday, Paul Jewell has said he would be mad not to look at signing Hossam permanently.

Ghaley from Kafreelshikh in Egypt was our best midfielder after coming on as a substitute during Saturdays game, getting forward, passing the ball well and getting back when required. "He ran the midfield" said Jewell.

Jewell is now ready to hold talks with Spurs over the 26 year old midfielder but it remains to be seen if Ghaly himself will be prepared to drop a division and help Derby County in their quest for immediate promotion to the Premiership...
