Gregory the first manager to be suspended in Rams history
Further to our revelations on Derby County Mad yesterday, Rams boss John Gregory has been suspended from his position as manager by the club.

This follows allegations, which the club describe as “serious”, and “having a major adverse effect on the club”.

Rams first team coach Mark Lillis is to take charge of the first team affairs starting tomorrow at Brammel lane, Sheffield.

The suspension is the first of its kind to happen to any Derby County manager whilst still on duty in the history of the club. This follows an earlier ban by the FA that starts at the end of March. This will see Gregory banned from the touchline for 5 matches and having to pay a

This may well be an attempt from the board to get rid of John Gregory without having to pay up his contract which still has one and a half years to run and is said to be worth around £1.8million.
