Rams Target Pletikosa, the deal now looks doomed
John Gregory looks like coming away from a scouting mission to Croatia without his intended target of Stipe Pletikosa.
A rumoured £1.8million deal struck for the 22 year-old Croatian number one was put on ice after Hajduk Split demanded £3million for their world class keeper.

Plestikosa is the first choice Croatian goalkeeper and should be in goal for Croatia's World Cup challenge later this year in Japan/Korea.

The Croatian club which was bailed out of financial difficulties by ex Rams player Igor Stimac and Aljolsa Asanovic are trying to keep the bank happy but the Rams just can't stretch to the £3million asking price and the deal now looks dead in the water.
