Paul Ince, once wanted for the Rams managers job, now hunted again by Adam Pearson
Paul Ince is being touted as the next manager of Derby County by the press. A report in the Telegraph states that Rams Chairman of Football, Adam Pearson was in talks with Ince before appointing Paul Jewell just 13 months ago.

Ince had an unsuccessful time in the Premier League managing Blackburn Rovers but is considered a good talented young manager after his successes at Macclesfield and the MK Dons in recent years.

Derby at present have left assistant manager Chris Hutchings in charge for the up coming Cup matches. His future depends on results and first up is a tricky FA Cup tie against Forest Green Rovers. Nothing but a resounding win will do for Hutchings. The semi Final of the Carling Cup is another matter as the Rams take on Manchester United, the World Club Champions.

Fans are confused about what they want at the moment, Hutchings is seen as a man in the same mould as Jewell, having worked as his assistant at Wigan and Derby. So maybe a new broom is required at Pride Park.

Other managers linked with the Rams job are Aidy Boothroyd, former Watford Manager. Nigel Clough has apparently ruled himself out of taking over the managers jobs at both Derby and Forest but many more names will be linked with the Rams before whoever takes over starts the hard work of getting the team competitive again...
