has revealed major man management problems within the club after he left the club apparently by mutual agreement.

It now appears that O’Neil wasn’t exactly a willing partner in the contract cancellation talks.

A report on the Daily Record web site claims O’Neil said “Derby treated me like dirt!” O’Neil also said he was stunned when a letter arrived in October telling him his contract was to be cancelled. He also revealed that he was told that he would never play for Derby again once he had received the letter.

At a time when Derby were not playing well O’Neil could not believe that all of Derby’s playing resources were not going to be used. “We could have been treated with more respect”, was O’Neil’s comment after finding out fellow Scot

Burley
Craig Burley had also the recipient of some poor man management skills. Burley claims to have not spoken to Manager John Gregory for months during his long injury lay-off and revealed that he could not park his car in the clubs players car-park on visits to the ground as his pass was not valid and access had been denied him.
