New striker ruled out of Scunthorpe game

Aiyegbeni transfer looking in doubt

Rams in form striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni will take no further part in the pre-season warm up games. Yakubu is still waiting to hear when an appeal will be heared concerning a work permit.
Derby County called off a meeting last week,saying they wanted more time to get evidence of Aiyegbeni's eligability for the permit.

Yakubu did play in two behind closed door games for the Rams which he was entitled to do but can not take part in matches open to the public until the work permit is sorted out.

Derby County also have to sort out the little matter of around £2million that his present club are rumoured to be asking for him. Unfortunately the Rams must sell before they can buy and with the sale of Mart Poom falling through it now looks like any transfer may be in doubt.
