Stephen Bywater, rewarded with new three year contract
Stephen Bywater has been rewarded for his recent form in the Rams goal with a new contract. He has had a turbulent couple of years at Pride Park, taking up the first team jersey and being a key player in the promotion to the Premiership under Billy Davis.

Bywater was left out of the side during Paul Jewell's turn in charge of Derby. Roy Carroll took the first team place after Jewell bought the former Manchester United goalkeeper from Rangers.

Bywater has now been given a new lease of life by Nigel Clough and seems now to have been given the green light with this new contract to make the first team position his own...
