Steve McClaren is said to be very concerned about central defender Richard Keogh, who has been a big part of the Rams success so far this season, holding the defence together.

Keogh fell awkwardly in the 25th minute of Saturday’s win over Doncaster Rovers and was replaced by Manchester United youngster Michael Keane. Keogh will undergo a scan on the injured knee tomorrow (Monday) and the extent of the damage will be revealed.

It is not thought that Keogh will feature in the Boxing day game against Huddersfield but the fear is this injury may be more serious than thought and a valuable member of the Rams squad as they look to make it eight wins in a row.
