FIFA too late for Rams

With brilliant timing FIFA have reversed the decision that has so annoyed George Burley.

In a case that smacks of locking the stable door after the horse has bolted the international body had ruled that no public match could feature more than six substitutions per side. A ruling that decided the Rams boss to reduce the size of his travelling party for Norway to 18 as it made no sense to take players that would get no action during the two Scandinavian games.

Fulham had already fallen foul of the situation last Saturday when referee Peter Walton was unable to start the second half of the Cottagers match due to the number of changes surpassing the new rule. The match was able to continue with a linesman taking the whistle and the game re-described as an "exhibition match".

Burley will not, however, be flying any extra players out.

The side for this evening’s game against Kongsvinger has been named and will not feature new signing Mo Konjic who is suffering swelling round his knee.

Starting line-up: - Grant, Kenna, Huddlestone, Johnson, Jackson, Bisgaard, Taylor, Bolder, Tudgay, Junior, Peschisolido.

The word is that all the travelling party bar Konjic will feature at some stage of the match
