Earnie talks to the Trees

Rob Earnshaw
Robe Earnshaw may soon be going down the A52 to Forest
Paul Jewell has confirmed that the club has accepted an offer of £2.5m from the club down the A52, Yes! Forest for the Rams record signing Rob Earnshaw.

The deal was struck between the clubs today and Rob was given the option of talking to Forest or staying with the Rams and he opted to have talks with the trees.

Jewell also remarked that Earnshaw actually cost the Rams £3.6m and not as reported £3.5 when he signed last year. So Derby are willing to take a £1.1m loss on a player that has only played 8 times for the Rams.

Surely someone has to own up to losing that kind of money on a player that was so highly rated and has a good scoring record at every level he has played at, including Internationals.

What is the reason he was overlooked by Billy Davies, the man who bought him here to Derby and then by Paul Jewell. There has to be a reason for not playing him and I guess that every Rams fan would want to know but maybe we will never find out.

Kris Commons
Kris Commons may be part of the deal that takes Earnshaw to newly promoted Forest
The £1.1m loss may be off set should Derby get their way with a bid for highly rated Forest midfielder Kris Commons. It is expected that his signiture has been asked for as part of the Rob Earnshaw deal.

We will have to wait to see just who moves to where and with £2.5m already in the war chest, new faces could be coming through the door at Pride park in the very near future...
