Dutch Champions to visit Pride Park

Derby County are to play one of the top teams in Europe for the pre-season curtain raiser for the 2003-2004 season.

Dutch Champions Ajax will visit Pride Park stadium on Friday 25^th July kick-off is 7-30pm. The Rams face a tough task in this last game of the series of pre-season friendlies, as Ajax managed to reach the quarterfinal stages of the Champions League this season.

Ajax accounted for Arsenal in the second phase of the Champions League.

Ronald Koeman (manager) will bring his team to Pride Park on what is expected to be the star studded curtain raiser of the Rams push for promotion back to the Premier league next season.
