Derby County have been drawn to play their first game in the Carling Cup away to Stockport County.

Games are set to be played in the week commencing 21st August.

Stockport founded in 1883 just a few months before Derby County now play in the second division and were lucky not to be relegated out of the league all together last season. The Hatters Edgeley Park ground has a capacity of just 10,651, although this early game in the Carling Cup is not thought to be a sell out. Stockport's first round exit last season saw only 1,501 people attend.

Derbyshire's only other league football side Chesterfield have been drawn against the Championship Wolverhampton Wanderers.
