Burton returns to Portsmouth

Rams striker Deon Burton is going back to Portsmouth. The Reading born striker moves back to a club that he knows well.

Burton was a £1million transfer from Pompey back in August 1977. Despite scoring 28 goals in 89 appearances for Derby County, it was felt that a move would be best for all parties.

Deon initially is on loan to Portsmouth for just a month but the deal is thought to be aimed at a perminent move for the 24 year old.
