David Jones mulling over a £1m move to the Premiership
David Jones may be on his way to the Premiership after Stoke City put in a £1m bid for the 23 year old midfielder.

Jones was brought into the Derby County squad initially on loan on the 15th November 2006 and signed a £1m deal during the following Januarys transfer window. Despite a good initial few months with Derby and sharing in the promotion season, he found himself being left out of the Rams line-up.

Newly promoted to the Premiership, Stoke City offer an other chance for the ex Manchester United youngster. Sir Alex Ferguson once said that Derby had a bargain when buying Jones for just £1m but now finds himself surplus to requirements in Paul Jewell's squad for next season.

Jones has played 41 times for the Rams 6 of those appearances as Substitute, scoring 7 goals and getting 8 yellow cards. The Rams are now leaving it up to the player to decide if he wants a move back to the Premiership with Tony Pullis's squad...
