Christie lays on the England winner
Malcolm Christie was the provider in a move that saw substitute Shola Ameobi score the only goal in the England Under 21 friendly international in Slovenia.

Slovenia where down to ten men after 36 minutes as Matjaz Lunder was sent from the field after a professional foul on Jermain Defoe.

Christie and Ameobi became the toast of the England squad as they linked up in the 65th minute, Christie laying on a tap in for Ameobi. This was Christie's tenth appearance in the England Under 21 side as he hopes to be picked for this years U21 European Championships.

Another Rams player in the England starting line-up was Derby's home grown,Chris Riggott. Chris was making just his sixth England U21 appearance and will almost certainly be going to the U21 Championships as well.
