Tyrone Mears
Tyrone Mears eventually gets his wish to leave the Rams and move to the Premiership with Burnley.
Derby County will wave good-bye, or is it good riddance, to Tyrone Mears today as he is expected to sign for Premiership new boys Burnley.

Nigel Clough will be happy to receive the £500,000 for the Rams want-away defender. This will be put to good use in trying to buy Blackpool's Shaun Barker or Crewe's John Brayfield and add them to pre-season training for the Rams, which starts tomorrow.

Mears has not been happy at Pride Park for some time and was loaned out to Marseilles for most of last season after Mears ran out on the club, then managed by Paul Jewell.

Mears is expected to be unveiled as Burnley's first, and so far, only new player for their debut in the Premier League next season...
