Bjorn Otto Bragstad could soon be on his way out of Pride Park.

The 31-year-old from Trondheim in Norway has not made the transition from Norwegian soccer to the Premiership and has been told by John Gregory that he does not figure in his future plans for the team.

Gregory has also said, "Bjorn is available for transfer or on a loan". "We will listen to any approach".

Bjorn joined the Rams on 27th July 2000, after playing in the Euro 2000 competition for Norway. He was thought to have been a good catch for the Rams at a reasonable price of £1.5million. There was stiff opposition for his signature and Scottish Champions Celtic where among other clubs interested in signing him.

Things didn't turn out the way Bjorn or Derby County thought and after just over a year at Pride Park Bragstad had only made 10 Premier League appearances for the Rams. A loan spell with first division side Birmingham City on the 6th September 2001 turned into a disaster, as he was booed off the pitch in only his third game for the club after a 3-2 defeat by Burnley. To save further embarrassment Bragstad was sent back to Pride Park after only 15 days at St Andrews.

Bjorn has not made a first team appearance for Derby County this season and all his statistics can be seen by clicking here.
