Darren Moore has been crowned Derby County's player of the year. The shock decision was made on the hard work Darren has put in his community work and also because he has played most times for the Rams in central, defence. There didn't seem to be a mention that Moore was actually voted player of the Year by the fans but we assume he topped the voting.

Young Player of the year goes to Rams reserve keeper, Lewis Price, who played his part in the first team whilst then number one keeper Stephen Bywater was out with a shoulder injury.

Give yourselves a pat on the back, as the Derby County Supporters have been voted the players player of the year, an honour everyone richly deserves after such a shockingly bad return season in the Premiership.

Rather surprisingly Giles Barnes picked up an award at last night's ceremonies. He carried off the fair play award, although he has been injured for a quite a while.

Kenny Miller picked up two awards, one for most appearances and the other for Goal of the Season, his effort that gave the Rams their only win against Newcastle being the winner.

The Brian Clough award for outstanding contribution to the Football Club was presented to Rams commercial manager Lisa Biesty

Other awards went to Kallum Keane, voted Academy player of the year and to Paris Simmons as scholar of the year...
