A 15-year-old! What next at Pride Park?

Rams history was made as Lee Holmes walked on to the Pride Park pitch in yesterdays embarrassing 3-1 loss to Division one strugglers Grimsby Town.

Lee was only 15 years and 267days old and now goes into the history books after beating Steve Powell’s record of 16 years and 30 days. The record had stood for 31 years.

An England under 16 International, Lee has had several good games for the National side earlier this season.

With the transfer window rapidly approaching will we have to expect more schoolboy players to appear on the Derby County team sheet? Or was today just giving the teenager a taste of what he can achieve on a regular basis if he applies himself?

Either way it was a day to remember for Lee and a day to forget for the rest of Ramkind.
