The rams started off their official preseason freindlies with a resounding 5-1 thrashing of Scunthorpe United.

The Rams produced a performance that whetted the appetite for the coming season. Confidence is high and it showed on the field.

indeed be thinking of a transfer, he produced a superb performance last night topped with a goal.

It took derby till the 26th minute to get on the goal trail and it was Fabrizio Ravanelli who provided the goal the Rams where looking for. A 35 yard strike set the back of the net rippling before Irons keeper Evans had time to move.

Derby now had that spark and players gelled together and the taking apart of Scunthorpe began. A second goal was added by the impressive Francois Grenet and a third before half time went in courtesy of Lee Morris after some great link up play by Ravanelli and Strupar.

It was our only representative in the World Cup who added the fourth goal. Branko Strupar keeping up his scoring record for Derby.

Fabrizio rounded off a good night for the Rams and himself by bagging the last of Derby’s five before Scunthorpe fans had chance to cheer their team as they scored a consolation goal to make the final score Scunthorpe 1 Derby County 5.
