Derby County cemented their fourth place in the Championship with a deserved win against Ipswich Town in their own back yard.

All square at the interval and Derby looked like they were the side most likely to be on their way to their way to victory . Ben Pringle earning his place in the Rams side , his place curtousy of suspended Dean Leacock.

It was that man again, Kris Commons who started the Rams on their road to victory with a well struck free kick in the 58th minute. The ball was struck from 25 yards and with help from a deflection off the Ipswich wall found its way into the net.

The Rams sealed the match with Kris Commons eighth goal of the season. Good work on the wing by Dean Moxey and a low cross into the area found Kris Commons who didn't need an invitation to tuck the ball in the net from the edge of the six yard area.

On a cold Suffolk night it was the Rams faithful who left Portman road the happiest on their way home to the East Midlands.

Saturday will be an intense meeting of the East Midlands two biggest clubs, as the Rams travel to the Walkers Stadium, hopeing for away victory number four
