Rams Reserves take strong team to the Valley

Derby County take a strong reserve team to the Valley tonight in their Barclaycard Premier reserve league south game.

Fabrizio Ravanelli is in the squad after his 20 minute run out with the first team on Saturday. This was after his three-month lay-off with an Achilles injury, which has seen the Italian ace have treatment at Lillishall and back home in Italy.
The reserve match will hopefully get the striker nearer full fitness after promising to take a wage deferral and help in the Rams faltering season.

Craig Burley will also make the trip. Burley again has been sidelined for months with injury to his leg.

Other injury-hit players to make the squad for tonight’s clash are Brian O’Neil who is making a comeback from an ankle injury. Simo Valakari after his ankle surgery continues to make progress and makes the squad, although it is his hamstring that is more of a problem in the recent past more than the ankle.

Deon Burton is gaining valuable match fitness after his broken bone in his foot.
