Derby County Reserves were in sparkling form on a wet and windswept Eton Park pitch in Burton.

Lee Morris is star of the show again after a superb hatrick against the Tractor boys
A superb hatrick from Lee Morris helped the Rams sink last season’s reserve league Champions by four goals to one. Morris started his hatrick in the 26th minute when a through ball from Georgi Kinkladze was hit with force under the Ipswich keeper.

With 5 minutes to go to half time it was Lee Morris again latching on to a Kinkladze ball. His nimble feet enabled him to round the keeper and scored from a very tight angle. Derby went in at the interval in complete control and started the second period again looking the better side.

It took Lee Morris just ten minutes to complete his well-deserved hatrick from a flick on by Marcus Tudgay.

Ipswich to their credit didn’t fold and gained a consolation goal on the hour mark. It was Derby who had the final word however and after 80 minutes when Matt O’Halloran made the final score 4-1 to the Rams.
