The Rams reserves hit top form tonight as they destroyed Tottenham Hotspur reserves by four goals to nil.

Fabrizio Ravanelli who was playing to regain match fitness after his long injury lay-off was instrumental in the win, although he failed to get on the score sheet.

Adam Murray scored the Rams first goal in four goal spree
The Rams had a great start scoring after just six minutes Adam Murray getting the important first goal. Derby increased the lead just after the half hour when Lee Holmes met a cross with a scorching volley that saw the ball nestle in the left hand corner of the net.

The Rams took the two-goal lead through till half time. Tottenham had what seemed to be a better start to the second half as Matt O’hallaran was sent off for Derby. The dismissal came after O’hallaran was booked for a second time in the match for diving. He had earlier been booked after an exchange with Spurs Steffan Freund.

With the Rams down to ten men Tottenham came more into the match but some great stops by Derby Keeper Andy Oakes kept the score in the rams favour.

The game was end to end but the Rams scored their third goal with just ten minutes remaining. Adam Murray slotting home after Fabrizio Ravanelli had held the ball up well inside the area.

The Rams final goal came from substitute Lee Wilson, again a fine volleyed effort flew into the Spurs net in the final minute of the game.
