Derby County reserves keep rolling along at the top of the FA Premier reserve league.

Marcus Tudgay, his strike dividing the teams
In a game that saw little goalmouth action, it was the Rams who came out on top with a steady rather than spectacular performance and a well-taken goal.

The goal that separated the two teams was a well-worked move with a superb cross from Matt O’Halloran and neat footwork and shot from Marcus Tudgay to steer the ball into the Charlton net in the 52nd minute.

The nearest Charlton came to breaking the resolute Derby defence was a headed chance from Michael Turner. The effort hitting Andy Oakes crossbar.

The title looks there for the taking now for Derby County with just five more games to play. Maybe a ray of light in this ever depressing season for Derby County FC.
