A strong looking Rams side slide to their second successive defeat at the hands of Coventry City. The Rams side included Fabrizio Ravanelli trying to get match fit and out of favour midfielder Craig Burley.

The sides went in all square at 0-0 after the first 45 minutes.

Coventry came out from the half-time break with the more positive attitude and it took them just 10 minutes to break the deadlock. Trialist Christian Yulu scoring the goal, which impressed the Coventry bench.

The game could have gone either way during the second half but Mark Noon put the game beyond Derby in the 73rd Minute.

The defeat was made worse by the fact that this was Coventry’s first reserve win at home this season. They had not managed to win any of their previous eight games at Highfield Road.
