Simo Valakari has surgery to remove pin

Simo Valakari hopes to make a full recover from the ankle problem that has been troubling him since November 2000

Forgotten Finnish International midfielder Simo Valakari, has under gone surgery to remove the pin which has kept his ankle immobile after reconstructive surgery last month.

Valakari has struggled with the ankle since an injury to the spot during International duty with Finland during the year 2000.

It is now hoped that Simo will make a full recovery and be pushing for a place in the Rams squad in the near future.
