Warren Barton looks set to take his place in the Rams side to take on Portsmouth at Fratton Park Saturday. His place was in doubt after having to come off the field just 10 minutes into the second half against Rotherham.

Barton was complaining about a shoulder injury that was making running very hard work. He was taken off as a precaution as the Rams were well in charge of the game.

This morning Barton underwent a precautionary scan on the damaged shoulder and there was no sign of anything to worry about. Warren did have a cortisone injection in an attempt to cure any pain that may be lingering.

It is now hoped that the Rams Captain will be able to take his place in the rather daunting trip down to league leaders Portsmouth.
