Southampton said to be looking at Higgy

There are claims in national newspapers this morning of a £2.5million bid from Southampton for Rams defender Danny Higginbotham. If true the south coast club would be getting the 23 year-old (24 on 29^th Dec) for just £500,000 more than the Rams paid for him from Manchester United.

Undoubtedly the Rams will have to listen to offers for Higginbotham but Higginbotham is undoubtedly going to attract further bids from clubs in the lower reaches of the Premiership. His obvious talents could of immense benefit to clubs struggling against relegation after the Christmas break.
