Poom may be the £4.5million target of Manchester United
Derby County are already in crisis after three defeats out of five games played of their first division season.

Now comes the news that Manchester United may be ready to offer the Rams a £4.5million fee for Mart Poom, the Rams inspirational goalkeeper.
Talks are already said to be at an advanced stage between the two clubs and Poom has already stated that he would welcome a return to the Premiership. A stumbling block me be the fact that Poom would be number two to Fabian Barthez once the French keeper is fit again after a hip problem.
Manchester United still have an iron in the fire however and are currently in negotiations with Urguayan keeper Fabian Carini.

Fabian Carini
Fabian Carini currently on loan at Old Trafford but wanted perminently by Man Unt if the price is right
Carini is curently on loan to United but are seeking to make the loan perminent. United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has put in a bid of £6.75million but Juventus are said to want £8million for the 22-year-old

John Gregory has already said this week that he is resigned to the fact of losing at least two of his first team players before the transfer window closes for Premiership clubs this Saturday.

With the Rams rumoured to be losing in the region of £120,000 per day any reasonable offer for players is now seen as a way of staving off administration at the club.
