Benito Carbone one of Colin Todd’s loan signings last season has returned to Italy and Seria A new club COMO.

Beni signed for the Rams for a 3-month loan spell from Bradford in October 2001 and played 14 times for Derby.

Bradford City a club that is already in administration and has only 14 senior players on it’s books at the moment, let Benito go to save on the rumoured £40,000 per week wages. Bradford face expulsion from the league if they don’t come up with a viable financial rescue by August 8th, just two days before the start of the football season.

Carbone was hoping to reach a settlement with Bradford for money owed to him and hoped that the club would not find itself excluded from the league and eventually wound up. Although many people have blamed Carbone’s huge wages on Bradford’s financial crisis, Carbone’s advisor does not think that he was a significant drain on the club.
