Mercedes
A similar Mercedes to the one Savage turned up to training in, although his was in black and white club colours
Robbie Savage is hardly the shrinking violet when it comes to profile but he angered players and management when he turned up in his motor for training, a brand new black and white 6.3lt Mercedes CL AMG.

Admittedly he had gone to the trouble to have the car painted in black and white, the Rams club colours but coming to training after the manager has publicly admitted that his team were terrible and promising action on attitude and training, then this kind of bravado just isn't wanted. Savage himself was described by manager Paul Jewell as ineffective, although went on to defend him saying, "He has been carrying injuries".

Robbie was forced to dump a new Bentley when playing for Birmingham City after his team mates branded it an "Old Codgers car". Savage had only had the vehicle for 3 weeks.

Savage takes home £30,000 per week and has yet to put in a decent game for Derby County as midfield general and team Captain. His reputation as a trouble making playboy looks to be carrying on at Pride Park. He has also just taken possession of a luxury home built in Wales, hardly dedication to his contract with Derby now is it?

Strict new regimes have come into practise this week at Moor Farm, the training ground for the Rams. Paul Jewell is having all the first team squad there at 8.30am……….wow!

Don't know about you but my day usually starts around 7.00am and goes on until 5.00pm or usually beyond. Are we getting a full eight hours or more work out of the Derby County Players? I doubt it, certainly on the field there has been a minimum of effort for the thousands of pounds worth of wages lavished on the "laughing stock" of the Premiership...
