Wembley hero Pearson vows to fight for a Rams place
Rams forgotten midfielder Stephen Pearson is determined to try and win back a starting position in the Derby County midfield.

Pearson, the scorer of a now distant winning goal at Wembley that took the Rams back into the Premiership has suffered with injury of late and is still trying to recover his match fitness after being out for six weeks with a torn groin muscle.

The 25 year old Scottish International was thought t be on his way to Midlands rivals Birmingham a few weeks ago but the deal fell through with Pearson's injury. Now with four months until the transfer window opens again Pearson feels his time will be well be best spent getting into the Rams side rather than wishing for a move.

Competition is high for places in the Rams starting line-up but the experience of European action with his former club Celtic and International starts with Scotland, Pearson hopes to show his worth to the Rams....
