Luke varney goes on loan to Sheffield Wednesday

The Rams with a glut of striking talent at the club have let recently bought Luke Varney go out on loan to Sheffield Wednesday.

Varney (26) signed for the Rams in January after an initial loan period from Charlton Athletic. He hs made nine appearances for Derby and scored one goal, ironically against Sheffield Wednesday.

The loan deal is for an initial one month and it is not yet clear if this will be extended or maybe a perminent deal could be worked out in the summer....
