Rams pick up £29m from TV broadcast payments to the Premier League
TV broadcasting payments has been a big revenue stream for clubs in the Premiership. Well this season is no different but a huge rise in the amount paid to each club could benefit the Rams in their search for a new squad for the Championship season.

Last season there was £464m worth of TV money to be shared among the elite of English football. The season just ended sees that amount rise to £758m.

Teams receive a share depending on their final league position and appearances on TV. Manchester United unsurprisingly took the lions share of the cash, walking away with £49m. Then came Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea, each pocketing £45m.

£29m for playing so poorly in front of the cameras
The Rams made a healthy wedge, picking up £29m even though finishing bottom of the league. Birmingham also picked up £29m, as they followed the Rams into the Championship.

Spent wisely this money and we hope more besides should see a rapid improvement in the playing staff of Derby County Football Club...
