Stephen was Born in Derby as the family then lived in Alvaston, later moving to Donington when he was one years-old.

Stephen possessed a Wicked sense of humour, was bright, intelligent and loved a debate (as we all know on the footymad messageboards), he would have everyone in fits of laughter and was very very popular. The whole village of Castle Donnington mourns his passing. He had an enormous heart and truly cared about people, but didn't suffer fools gladly.

Stephen loved his football, playing for Castle Donington Juniors then aged 20 went on to manage a team for Donno from U9 to U15's. He had been working in Liverpool for a year, Coming back home earlier this year in February when he took over coaching Donington Ladies.

Talking of Ladies Stephen could charm the birds and will leave many a broken heart.

His Dad, mum and sister will love and miss him forever and so will many more including posters on the Derby County and many more messagboards on the Footy Mad network.

The family of Stephen hope the posters will not forget him. I am sure we will always have a place in our hearts for DonningtonRam and to ensure his memory lingers on here we are going to re-name the Sheep Lounge to the DonningtonRam Lounge.

He was quite simply in the words of his father a "Top man".

Service 18th August 1.30 at St Edwards Church, Castle Donington followed by a private family burial over the border in Derbyshire. Stephens family and friends will be wearing Derby shirts, no place for dark suits, but also room for a few Forest shirts as well as he was good friends with many a red...
